Lizzy James gives back!

Posted by Devon Phillips at

Here at Lizzy James, we are so happy to be in a place as a company where we can give back to the community. There are so many great causes out there to contribute to, from animals to children to vets. It's so important to appreciate the community we came from, and it's very empowering to make even a little bit of difference.

The chance to donate is one of the things that we've been most excited about lately, so we figured we share some of our excitement with you guys! We plan to continue donating to various causes throughout the year to give back to people who deserve it!

Below, you can read a bit about some of the charities we donated to, as well as recent plan to donate for Memorial Day!

Wounded Warrior Project

Lizzy James has decided to donate $5 for every order placed this Memorial Day to the Wounded Warrior Project in an effort to support our veterans. Wounded Warrior serves to empower veterans while raising public awareness in support of the cause. They aim to help wounded veterans, as well as help wounded veterans to assist each other outside of the battlefield.

"Wounded Warrior Project provides free programs and services focused on the physical, mental, and long-term financial well-being of this generation of injured veterans, their families and caregivers."

Helen Woodward Animal Center

Helen Woodward was founded by Helen Whittier Woodward in 1972 as a place that would facilitate comprehensive animal care alongside public education programs. Most of the buildings that stand at the Center to day were built after her death in 1983, and the Center was renamed in 1986 to honor her memory. Today, Helen Woodward Animal Center is regarded as one of the premier no-kill animal shelter and veterinary clinics in San Diego County!

"Helen Woodward Animal Center's passionate belief that animals help people and people help animals through trust, unconditional love, and respect, creates a legacy of caring. Sharing this philosophy with others, the Center inspires and teaches, locally and globally, the importance of the animal-human bond."

Susan G. Komen San Diego

Our donation to Susan G. Komen was inspired by Lizzy James' own struggle with breast cancer, and is a cause very close to our hearts. Komen San Diego is dedicated to achieving a world without breast cancer, and is currently the only organization in San Diego that continues the fight against breast cancer across all levels.

"We have one clear mission: saving lives and ending breast cancer forever."

Make a Wish Foundation San Diego

Founded in 1980, Make a Wish has continuously given joy to children with life threatening medical conditions. Make a Wish San Diego grants wishes to children within San Diego and Imperial county.

"A wish experience can be a game-changer for a child with a life-threatening medical condition."
